Self Defense

Children’s self-defense enables children, in a short period of time, to learn self-defense techniques carefully tailored to fit their age and physical and mental abilities.

By practicing at Krav Maga Viper, children are taught how to recognize common threats, such as bullies and abductors. Practice also aims to improve self-esteem, build self-confidence, respect and discipline. The Krav Maga methods for KMV children, especially in the younger age, are taught to children mainly through educational games.

Educational toys help children develop the coordination of their body members, follow instructions and improve their self-confidence. Through these toys, children learn how to avoid attacks and how to defend themselves when necessary, with the ultimate purpose of escaping. Krav Maga for children openly and with caution explains to children the scenarios of attacks they are likely to accept, the difference between having to suffer the discomfort of a lousy classmate or an unknown adult, their choices and what the reaction should be the proportions in each case etc

The KRAV MAGA VIPER system divides the Krav Maga for children into five main age classes. As the years go by, the practice involves fewer toys, and its techniques are more and more like those of adults.

The children practicing at Krav Maga are taught how to engage in a goal and gain patience, perseverance and endurance. They are taught how to appreciate and be proud of their achievements when they learn a new technique or pass their level exams.

They acquire a tangible sense of the path they are walking and their progress and realizing that no goal is unattainable. In this process they also make an amazing and specially designed for their age gymnastics! Also, children are allowed to hit the bag and specific goals, train their techniques in pairs with their classmates under the supervisor’s supervision, and in this process they learn that without these conditions it is not okay to strike or to fight .

As with the rest of the specialized teams that have their special features, needs and unique subcategories, so is the case with the children in the world of Krav Maga.

This happens because:

Children have special features.

We can classify the threats they can accept in special groups.

Characteristics

The main reasons why we consider children to be a special category are their lack of experience, their little physical shape, their anatomy and their sensitive psychic world.

Threats

We can classify the threats that a child is likely to face in three categories:

Dangers from their environment.

Risks to their lives from adults.

Addressing threats, attacks or quarrels with their classmates or other children.
